James Hirsh
Associate
James practices in the areas of civil litigation and insurance defence. His practice focuses on various areas of tort law including personal injury, subrogation, construction and product liability.
Prior to joining Jones Kopp Litigation Partners in 2023, James’s practice has focused on insurance defence with other boutique law firms in Toronto. He has argued before various levels of courts and tribunals in Ontario throughout his career.
James received his B.A. from McGill University in 2011 and his J.D. from the University of Western Ontario in 2014. He was called to the Bar in 2015.
James is passionate about insurance defence law and advocating strongly for his clients, using his years of experience in the field to provide positive and constructive outcomes.
In his spare time, James can be found (win or lose) at Toronto Blue Jays games or canoe tripping through the Ontario backcountry.
